HISTORY
We were about to start homeschooling until the Lord spoke and said you can pour your money into your own. On September 8, 2009, Lighthouse Preparatory Christian School opened its doors.
It started with five students, all young men, whose parents sought the Lord for guidance for the continued education of their sons. These students were: Armand Clove, Carlin Daniels, Jamiel Law, Joel Law and Eythan Wiggins. In November, 2009 Lighthouse increased its student body by one, Raydon “Raphael” Brown, bringing the total to six young men.
Bishop Charles E. Daniels and Dr. Florine F. Daniels, long time educators, have worked within the school system collectively for over forty years. However, it was not just their educational experience that led them to the point of starting a school, but the soft whispers of the voice of the Lord and His supernatural leading.
Our first setting for the school was the dining room of a dear friend and her daughter, who opened her home to Lighthouse School. Lighthouse School occupied that dining room for the entire school year. In the fall of 2010, the location of Lighthouse School changed. We moved to 215 Kay Road, Bradenton, Florida and graduated our first class there.
School Motto: God, Spirit, Heart and Mind
School Mascot: the Lion: The Lion is Royal, Brave,
Respected, Bold, Courageous, and represents the Lion of Judah: JESUS!
Flower: Blue Aster - Asters are perennial, are transplantable, germinate
easily and will grow quickly. They will withstand dry periods, staying
vibrant with some watering.
School Colors: Royal Blue and Silver Gray
